It's always cool when the girls who dolls were modeled after in the books are revealed. I'm still friends with Jenna Josten, who Tenney was modeled after, on Instagram. But a college sorority revealed that Lauren Schuster, one of their members, was the one that Lanie was modeled after!
Lauren modeled for American Girl starting in 2008 and did so for a couple of years. She was featured in catalogs, but she made her mark on AG history once she was the face of Lanie Holland! Lauren is now a sophomore at Western Michigan university, where she is studying to become a news anchor.
