What American Girl Stores Have I Been To?

Let me start this post by acknowledging the bad news - since most of the American Girl stores that have ever existed are now closed, I'm never going to most of them. However, out of the ones that are still open, I've only missed 4 - and I have plans to go to 3 of them in the near future!

So, out of the American Girl stores that have ever existed, which ones have I been to?

We'll start with the first one I ever been to, the original American Girl store in The Grove in Los Angeles. I was 8 when I went, on the last day of 2013, and it was a few days before I started americangirldollnews.com! I had so much fun, and I went again when I was 10, in 2015.

The second one I went to was Charlotte. Charlotte was my home store for 11 years, from it's opening in 2014 to it's closure earlier this year, and I ended up going more times than I could count! I wholeheartedly miss this store so much - it's going to be so weird going home this summer from college and NOT being able to go to American Girl.

The third store I went to was Orlando. My dad's special interest is Disney World, so as a kid and teenager, I went there at least once a year (besides Covid). When Orlando opened, I was able to go to Orlando the year after in 2015, and I've been there every time I go to Orlando since! The last time I went was in 2023, which was fun.

The fourth store I went to was Atlanta. Me and my dad went on a day trip in 2016 to visit it, and it was really fun seeing the original Boutique and Bistro! Unfortunately, that was also the last time I went to Atlanta's store, as it closed in 2020 because of the Covid pandemic.

The fifth store I went to wasn't really a store, but it counts! I went to the American Girl Benefit Sale in 2017 and greatly expanded my doll collection. I also went to the American Girl headquarters in Middleton, Wisconsin - I was so welcomed by the employees there, and it was such a fun day! I also got Nanea's books early :)

The sixth store I went to was the Hershey outlet store, which opened in 2018 and closed in 2021. I went a few times, all in 2018. The first time, I traveled to the area for the grand opening, and the other times was during a week I was in the Hershey area for medical treatment.

And the seventh American Girl store I've been to is my current home store, Nashville! The first time I went in 2021, it was for my sister's college orientation, but little did I know I'd end up going to the same college as her - and once Charlotte closed, I'd be claiming Nashville as my home store. It's such a nice place!

I haven't been to Chicago, NYC, Washington DC or Dallas yet - but I have plans to go to Chicago, NYC and Washington DC soon!

I’ve been to the city of Chicago last summer and it was a wonderful experience. The store display window showcased Lila and Julie dolls.

I’ve been to Hershey, Pittsburgh, DC, and Columbus! Columbus was the closest to me in WV.

Only the Dallas American Girl Store by the Galleria before they moved. I can't remember where they moved too. If someone knows, please let me know.
