Unfortunately, this release isn't for me. 💔 I have two Kirstens already and I'd much rather have the outfit to display on my white body doll. But I hope everyone who gets her loves her. Kirsten is one of my favorites.
Someone also pointed out the books. They also said that they could have released the book separately also. Since the books were a tremendous part of the American Girl brand. I fell in love with American Girl through the books with Meet Felicity.
I began liking American Girl in the late 2000’s around when Chrissa was Girl of the Year, Samantha retired, and Rebecca was released. Back then, there were mysteries, activity books, cookbooks, and best friend stories.
I never realized this when I was young but that was a magical time for American Girl. We never realize we had something wonderful until it was all over. We do want this generation of children to experience what we experienced.
It would be nice if they had not made this into a collector doll. I know I have said this before: they should release the holiday outfit and head wreath separately.
They could also give out her doll, Sari, and the holiday tray. I heard a Lot of people wanted to get the tray. Some people have already passed this one. I don’t think they’re going to sell well. If American Girl sees that they don’t sell that well, then maybe they will sell these outfits separately and rerelease other holiday items.
everyone seems very upset they didn't release the outfit separately which I empathize with them, but it's a shame if it doesn't sell and that cancels the rest of the line, not the best choice to test sales with since most just got her recently while others have been out a while. Hoping whatever gets sold doesn't reflect the end of original historical things. If they did this with like Smantha first I think we could understand more since beforever is the only verison available for years. that being said I think maybe people will talk bad but then buy it anyway lol it's hard for most people to resist hisotricals and now you can keep her in her box…
