I checked the previous Girl of the Year's pages on American Girl's website to see if any of their items have retired, and they haven't - Corinne, Kavi and Lila's full collections, with a few exceptions on Corinne's side and Kavi's book - are still available on American Girl's website. With Summer's debut a few weeks ago, this is the most Girl of the Years that have been available at the same time since Luciana, Blaire and Joss were still available when Kira was Girl of the Year, with Luciana and Blaire retiring towards the end of 2021.
they aren't retiring them because they no longer have a benefit sale and are in the red as a company so they can't just trash these or write off product stock... they have to keep trying to push and sell items to keep the company afloat. that is also why they are reducing collections and stock (why lila's pjs sold out) ....
