American Girl's website was redesigned today! The website has a new refreshed look and is the culmination of the experimentation with the website layout that began in the fall of 2019.
This is the new homepage!
This is the new menu page.
This is the new shop page.
This is the new Create Your Own interface.
This is the new store page. Each store has its own unique page now.
Lastly, here is the Explore page, now called the Blog page.
Do you like the site's new layout? I think it's nice but will take some getting used to.
no because you can not see if the item is in stock at the store
I don't like the CYO page. There's no place to "save" your design and any previous designs can't be found. I had several saved dolls that I created and now can't find them.
the 'shop | play' pop up (when you enter the site) has a unique shape instead of just a rectangle and the character banners look a lot nicer! i like how the historicals have their pic on the right and the gotys are on the left (besides joss) :)
Eventually this will be easier to use. The search button is moved. Look for the magnifying glass below the personal information.
Also, if you happen to use PayPal, after you have your cart do NOT go to the check out button. That will be only for credit cards. Go to the bottom of the page. I think it is See Cart. That gives you more options to pay including PayPal.
I actually like the new setup! I went the website earlier today and was pleasantly surprised to see the new layout! It’s easier to find certain items without looking them up! 😊
