Next weekend, on September 8, 9 and 10, American Girl is having a launch event for the all-new Truly Me dolls. The first 50 attendees to stores each of those days will receive a free gift.
I would normally say this is cool, but it's irritating me that Claudie got nothing- not even a free gift or anything like that- but the Truly Me dolls did. The historicals are supposed to be the focus of American Girl, but this suggests otherwise. Very annoying...
Any newer updates on this event? I am trying to prepare/determine if it is worth the drive to the store in Dallas.
I can't believe they are gonna over shadow Claudie with Truly Me dolls. That is so unfortunate. But honestly, why am i not surprised by this?
So does that mean they will release lots and lots of Just Like You dolls if there is an event like this? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think AG ever did an event on a release of Just Like You dolls before so it must be a big event with a lot more Just Like You dolls than usual released!
ah now I wonder if the rumored release date of the 1st is pushed back to the weekend now. bummer.
I agree, unless AG thinks Claudie sells herself. I think Claudie needs more regular clothes.
