American Girl Of The Year 2023 Name? Kavika Sharma (GOTY 2023)

Merry Christmas to all my followers who celebrate! Expect my opening video in the next few days and pictures of Olivia and any other dolls I might receive today.

Anyways, Corinne isn't even out yet, yet we might already have a name for 2023's Girl of the Year! (That's what I'm assuming based on the timing of this trademark.)

goty 2023, girl of the year 2023, kavika sharma, american girl kavika, goty 2023, girl of the year 2023, kavika sharma, american girl kavika, goty 2023, girl of the year 2023, kavika sharma, american girl kavika, goty 2023, girl of the year 2023, kavika sharma, american girl kavika, goty 2023, girl of the year 2023, kavika sharma, american girl kavika,

A while ago, the name Kavika was trademarked, and I assumed it could be a name for GOTY 2023. Well, it looks like I guessed right, because Kavika Sharma was just trademarked! (Kavika could also be a World By Us doll, but I'm thinking GOTY because full names trademarked around December-May are fair game for the GOTY line.)

"Sharma" is a Hindu last name. This means that Kavika is most likely Indian, though she could be any kind of South Asian.

This is exciting, considering our only South Asian doll so far was Sonali, and she was only a best friend doll to Chrissa. I'm also especially excited for Kavika because if she is GOTY 2023, she'll be the GOTY for my high school graduation year! (I know that might come as a shock to my readers since elementary or middle school, but I am graduating high school in 2023!)

So excited for Kavika! (And Corinne too, but that's in like not even a week.)

On a personal note, thank you American Girl for trademarking this name today because I woke up early to write my movie, wasn't feeling it, and as soon as I started blogging, a wave of inspiration hit me. I'm off to write more Rebelle until the rest of my family wakes up and we open Christmas presents together! Wish me luck!

As a fellow (half) Indian I believe we need more Indian AG dolls so I am very excited :)

More excited for Kavika than Corinne; with the leaks (and how AG's been handling said leaks) Corinne looks kinda boring which SUCKS since she's our first fully Asian GOTY and I'm usually a sucker for the dark hair with blue highlights. Also, I've said this before but-- I'm gonna guess that Kavika got approved after the Diwali outfit made bank. AG realized there's a market for Indian doll stuff, as if that wasn't obvious by how much Sonali goes for on the secondhand market... and how much we've been begging for years....

I kind of thought so too! The fact that Kavika might be Indian is so cool! Yes, I do remember that Sonali was one of Chrissa's friends. Does this mean that Kavika will have a friend doll too? If she will, that will be awesome, because that would mean that until 2023, Chrissa was the only girl of the year doll to have friends. I know that Bryant is not really an Indian name, but maybe if AG agrees, Bryant will be Kavika's friend! And, Bryant would also be the first boy doll to ever be added to my collection, which I would love! I recently discussed this with my father, and he assumes that if they released a boy…

This is awesome! I got Just Like You 7 and named her Anastasia as well as two customs my mom and grandmother created and I named them Redbird and Arc-En-Ciel (That's French for rainbow because she has rainbow-colored hair!). I have an Asian Indian Create Your Own doll based on my latest main character from a book I just finished a week ago, my fourth this year and my twelfth finished book in general! Her name is Padmalani and my grandmother got my a red sari for her! And merry Christmas!

My published book is The Carter Twins and the Mystery of Aqua Star Island by Jade Starletia. It's set in 1966 and 1967 and is about a six-year-old girl named Mirand investigating some mysterious women who might be mermaids. The next book that will come out is Alder Cases 1: The Ghosts of Oak Woods set in 1988 and 1989; the main character is four-year-old Lynda and she investigates a case of some ghostly girls who might be connected to her sister. Then there's Carter Twins 2: The Rosegail-Ravendale Curse in which a seven-year-old Miranda investigates an alleged decades-old family curse; Carter Twins 3: The Secret of the Jade Dream Catcher, set in 1968 and 1969 with eight-year-old Miranda having…
