American Girl New Girl Ear Piercing Station

The American Girl stores now have stations for girls to get their ears pierced, and I snuck in a picture of the station in Charlotte while taking pictures of the new collection!

Okay this is cute but please please please go to a dedicated tattoo/piercing shop... I got my ears pierced at Claire's when I was 5 or 6 and one earring ended up getting embedded into my ear. Not fun for a little one.

My daughter got her ears pierced at The American Girl store in NYC and the woman did a fantastic job, the holes are perfectly even, they healed without incident. It was actually a great experience for her 6th birthday =)

That's exciting but I'd definitely suggest trying somewhere else, like a local tattoo shop, if you can! Good luck, whatever you do decide!

I got my ears pierced when I was very young, never got infected. But my sister got hers at the same place, and they got infected years later....
