American Girl Magazine ENDING!

It's the end of an era- the January 2019 issue of American Girl Magazine will be the last issue EVER! I saw this rumor and couldn't believe it, so I checked with American Girl on Facebook (yeah I have one but it's only so I can manage the Special Dolls account) and they told me this:
"You're correct, Sydney. We're taking the content that we know girls love from the magazine and exploring new uses in digital space."
Welp, this is sad, Alexa play Anata no Yume wo Mita. (You know a otaku runs this blog when-)
In all seriousness, though, this magazine was a big part of my childhood and seeing the office where it was made was surreal. As girls are leaving print behind for digital, it's sad to see one iconic part of American Girl vanish forever.

Hi, I’m so sad you took this magazine away. My daughter (now 15) still wants it and loved to take it to the beach. I loved to get her off her phone. Perhaps consider a “teen” magazine that isn’t so focused on just the dolls? My daughter loved the quizzes and the stories the most and the other teen magazines don’t have the down-to-earth content that you did. There are many “young souls” that are missing out on a good magazine (that doesn’t exist today). Thanks!
