Hello again! I know I said this last post, but for people who didn't see my last one, THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH FOR 600 SUBSCRIBERS! You are the best blog readers ever!
Now, here's my Gabriela: Time for Change review! OMG I WAS SO EXCITED I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS BOOK SINCE DECEMBER 23 WHEN I GOT GABRIELA'S FIRST ONE
First things first, I got to stress this out to you guys: THIS BOOK MADE ME CRY. I'm not an emotional person, but I cried so hard. This book is probably the best American Girl book EVER. This book had the perfect balance of emotion, humor, plot and charm. Gabriela, unlike Tenney, is a regular middle school girl dealing with regular middle school problems- including facing her stutter. In this book, Gabriela has to make a big choice- dance or poetry. She loves poetry, but she knows that she wants her mama to be proud of her by dancing. I'll let you read the book to find out her choice, but the choice she made had me bawling like a proud mother. Varian Johnson did a great job continuing where Teresa E. Harris left off- I'll have to interview them both! The ending was moving and made me cry some more. But you know what made me angry? IT ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER. GABRIELA NEEDS A FOURTH BOOK STAT WHY DID TENNEY GET ONE AND NOT GABRIELA UGH UGH IM HURTTTTTTTT...........
GO BUY THIS. ASAP. PLEASE.
