In the background of a CBS Good Morning Video about American Girl, I found potential new outfits. Take a look:

A pink dress with a hot pink bow on the bodice and collar. Probably Velcro closure.

American Girl Doll: Purple plaid patterened dress with short sleeves. Same dress, but in blue and has a Peter Pan collar and blue buttons on the bodice.
