hi... its been a little while since I've posted, but I've still been keeping up with ag news on ig. A major change from ag recently is the truly me line, and I decided to share my thoughts on it!
At first I hated every aspect of retiring all the old Tm's, but now is doesn't bother me too much. There's some dolls from the line that I really like, like 108, 122, 121, 124 and 107. They're really pretty and I love their hair! Personally I've never been a big fan of the coloured hair dolls, so I wasn't exactly thrilled when I realized that like- half the line has coloured hair!! After getting Jayde ( renamed Corrine) I found it really hard too come up with outfits that don't clash with her hair. It's not for me, but that's just my opinion. However, I know that lots of younger kids loveee this, and that's Ag's target age, so I'm not letting it bother mw too much. Unlike a lot of people, I really like the subtle makeup on the dolls! I feel like if you're the kind of person who imagines that their dolls age isn't 8,9,10 but maybe a teenager then this is perfect! Plus I don't think it removes or adds beauty to the dolls, just enhances their features and details! The book that comes with these new dolls also seem really cute.
in conclusion, I don't love this line, but it's definitely growing on me. What do you think?

Hi Abby,
It's great to hear your thoughts on the Truly Me line and how it has evolved. It's clear that American Girl's changes have sparked some mixed feelings among fans like you.
It's understandable that retiring the old Truly Me dolls might have been a bit disappointing initially, but it's good to hear that some of the new dolls, like 108, 122, 121, 124, and 107, have caught your eye with their beautiful hair. Preferences can vary greatly among collectors, and it's natural that not everyone will love all aspects of the new line.
Your perspective on the colored hair dolls and how it affects outfit choices is interesting. It's true that colorful hair can make coordinating outfits a bit more challenging, but it can also provide an opportunity for creative styling.
Your appreciation for the subtle makeup on the dolls is another interesting point. It's great that you see it as a way to imagine the dolls at different ages, which adds versatility to their characters.
It's clear that while the new line may not be your absolute favorite, you're open to appreciating its unique features and understand that it appeals to a younger audience, which is American Girl's target demographic. Your perspective adds depth to the discussion of the changes in the American Girl line.
Ultimately, everyone's opinion is valid, and it's nice to see you sharing your thoughts and being open to different aspects of the Truly Me line. Thanks for sharing your perspective!

122 is my favorite from the release too. She's one of the only ones that I'm considering getting. For the others, I don't like the ones with completely colored hair, but I don't mind the ones with just a few streaks. I also like the eyelashes a lot more than I thought I would. I just hope they don't put them on the existing historicals.
