So when I was really little me and my sister used to make little paper dolls, and most of the time they would get thrown away after a few days. Well eventually I started storing them in my room and building up a collection. I spent years developing there back stories, building there houses and basically controlling there whole lives. For a very long time they were my truest friends. But one day, while I was working on a house for one of the family's my mom happened to find them lying on the ground, and thinking them trash, she threw them away. Well I was devastated, but eventually I got over it and tried rebuilding my collection and making more paper dolls but she eventually threw those away too. It's been over a year now but I'm trying again, public school has been really hard for me and I need some friends so I will be attempting to rebuild my collection and also keep them away from were my mom can find them.

Ask your mom to help you make some of your paper dolls sometimes doing something together can give a better understanding of why the dolls have meaning for you. Put those some place out in the open to show them off maybe frame them, (but in your room)...
Maybe put the paper dolls in a binder or a folder and label it "school"
Why don't you tell her that they aren't trash and not to throw them away?
