There are a ton of bad reviews on Kira about the LGBTQ+ stuff in it, and I hate it. This is BIG for Ag to do this, and I hate how people are such jerks.
They're stating there opinion how everyone else is stating there's, it doesn't mean they are bad/horrible people. But when they say they hate types of people that is not ok. If they start hating online in that manner it is not right. But, I think it's ok if they peacefully reveiw there opinions. No hate meant. - Gianna
I think the big thing was that parents were upset that they didn't have the choice to decide when to introduce those topics. I personally think they were right to be upset remember the dolls are designed for 8 yr olds.
They shouldn’t be upset, though. Kids are exposed to heterosexual relationships starting at a young age, for example with the Disney Princess movies and fairytales where the prince kisses the princess. These are easy to explain, but all of a sudden when two girls or two boys love each other it becomes hard for some parents. All parents have to say is “they love each other.” Because that’s the truth. Just 21 years ago, which isn’t a long time in the grand scheme of things, Sailor Moon (one of my special interests other than AG) had to change a lesbian couple to “cousins” just to air on Cartoon Network. It’s amazing how much progress and equality has evolved within 21 years, so much that AG has added a bit of representation in their books. Parents need to accept that same-sex love is the same as the heterosexual love they show their kids in movies and TV, and if they don’t, their kids will eventually learn.
I totally agree!! Her stop motion series was really awesome; I would really love to read her books. Kira actually inspired me to look up what some of the animals in her stories look like. Well, they had to be described to me, but I still learned something from her. Plus, I have two Uncles, so I think what AG did is awesome!!!!
I feel bad for the children of those parents who write comments like that, they're going to grow up in a family where they have to fit into society's norms and feel like they might never be accepted for who they are. AG's message is that each child is unique, and to embrace individuality, so if those parents don't support that message then they shouldn't be buying from the company in the first place.

UGH! Those reviews are so annoying!
I agree. Those reviews should be removed, in my honest opinion.
