Also #GoReadGallagherGirls, because Hannah and Jade are *totally* Gallagher Girls. Actually they aren’t, it’s just that Gallagher Girls was kinda my inspo 4 this series. 

Wow, already near the end of season one? 

Let’s get a recap:

Train Yard, Pt 3: 

Hannah awoke in a daze. She knew she was on a train, with a dark-haired boy. Callan? No, Callum. The slur of voices could be heard through the metal walls of her in-train prison. 

     Something about a lab. 

     … 

     Jade finished the long story concerning the train. 

     “Well,” replied the Headmaster, “where is Hannah?” 

     “I’m sorry, sir, that information has not been brought to my attention yet.” Jade announced. 

     “Are you aware that Hannah’s been kidnapped, Jade? Kidnapped?” 

     “Why!?” Jade was speechless. 

     “She may be a special kind of…” 

     Jade stopped listening at “Special”. If Hannah was special…well, probably because she was a Trenton Operative!! Which Jade was too. So she was special too, right? Most people don’t want to be kidnapped, but that wasn’t the case on December 3, 2021 for Jade Kendrick. 

     Jade remembered where the train was headed. She managed to get there just as the train arrived. She recognized the dark-haired boy exiting the train, and a familiar (she couldn't quite put her finger on it) face as well. They were carrying a long box with a few 2-by-2-inch holes at the top. 

     Jade knew the box was too long and wide to be Hannah, so she couldn’t be the only thing in there.

Operative Molly Dennison ran down the halls of Trenton Academy. The school was on high alert; Operative Winter had been kidnapped, Operative Kendrick was being suspicious, and Operative Smith was possibly dead. Possibly. 

    Her room-mates, Operatives Katy Cole and Leah McBride were waiting at the safe-house. “Where’s Smith?” Katy cried. The girls no longer referred to “Smith” as her first name. 

    “You’re dumb, Katy.” Leah remarked. “For all we care, she could be dead.” 

… 

 After the box was placed on a tread bound for the inside of the train station, Jade let herself fall into the Asian boy’s arms. “Let me go!” She shrieked dramatically. 

    “Sure!” The boy groaned, shoving her to the ground and continued. 

    “No, you just don’t get it! Let me—oh.” Jade didn’t finish before she realized that this wasn’t going to happen. “I’m a Trenton Operative.” She muttered under her breath.    

     The boy turned around. “Ok, look, Person. Are you trying to get kidnapped? If so, you’re dumb. And kinda outta the mind that you may not even have.” 

    “Sorry,” Jade mumbled. “It’s just—WHAT MAKES HANNAH SO SPECIAL?” 

    “Who’s Hannah?” 

    “Hannah…Winter?” 

     “You know?” 

     Jade felt that she could pretend that she was pretending to try to get kidnapped as a cover to discover that secret. 

    “Yes. And I’m calling the police,” 

    Jade ran to the nearest phone booth, her iPhone didn’t get service here. Callum’s phone rang. 

    “Hey, Adrian.” 

    “She’s been tested. She’s no ghost tracker, we can let her go. But trust me, Callum Morgan, keep an eye on her. She seems…familiar.”

As Jade came back from the phone booth and back to the station, she found Hannah, pale and shivering, sitting in the snow. 

    “H-h-Hannah!” Jade stuttered in surprise. 

    “I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Katy, dear.” Leah corrected in a hushed tone. “How could you be such an imbecile?” Her British accent and fancy dialect were hard to understand. 

     “I’m sorry,” Katy wailed, in her much more American accent. 

    “What’s going on?” Molly asked. 

    “Katy thought—“ “Leah called-“ “She still-“ 

     “Girls, we’re trying to go undercover here. Stop your arguing, or we’ll never find Winter and Kendrick!” 

    “But look, that’s not our mission, our job, our…We’re supposed to go in the safe house!” Leah argued. 

     “Headmaster will never know…”
