So I recently heard about this collab (thanks to@AG By the Bay!!) and I wanted to figure out if it was still happening. Here is some background info:
1.)Something Navy
Something Navy is ”your go-to resource for everyday clothing essentials, fashion-forward classics, timeless accessories“ . That’s what the site says anyway. It was started in 2018 by Arielle Charnas. It is a brand that mainly sells basics, so pretty cheap clothes right? No. A t-shirt you could get at target for $10 is $65!!!! I think that’s crazy. Anyway. Here’s a link to their website: https://www.somethingnavy.com and the place I read about their story in here: https://www.somethingnavy.com/our-story
2.)The leaked pants. someone on Reddit posted something about a listing on eBay (I think) for some Something Navy x American Girl pants. Here are some photos:
so those are photos of the listing. Anyway, they look similar to some pants on something navy’s website.
Ok, so, IS THIS COLLAB STILL HAPPENING? Probably not. So there was this whole situation about a year ago, I couldn’t explain it if my life depended on it, but here’s a link to the article I read. https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2023/01/something-navy-arielle-charnas
but basically people thought that Arielle Charnas’ husband had taken millions of dollars from the company, and they were going to get divorced. They immediately said that wasn’t true though, but it lasted for awhile and pretty much blew up. It definitely made how much money the brand made go down. Quite a bit, in fact. but really, is this collab happening? Well, AG might not want to because of that whole… situation. Then again, they decided to do the collab before everything happened, and they might not want to waste their progress. @AG By the Bay said that it got dropped, and I read some stuff that said it was canceled. So I don’t expect to see it, but I hope this post was informative!! Bye!
I am glad to be here and read your very interesting article, it was very informative and helpful information for me. keep it up. ennis del mar jacket
