Part One
“Are you okay, Hannah?” “Ok. I knew carrying out this mission would be dangerous. After all, it’s not like magic was real, or else I’d’ve used a protection spell. “Hannah?” “Yes, Jay?” I looked over at my friend, who was sitting next to me on the large gear. “I have a feeling we‘re not the only ones in this clock.” “Why, Jay?” Jay and I were inside the clock. The big, tall clock in the heart of Trenton Point. Which is not where we need to be. “Shh. Be quiet, and listen.” A slow ticking sound could be heard. Tick, tick, tick, tick...
But it was suddenly drowned out by continuous beeping. Beep, beep...
If I knew anything, that was a bomb. “JAY! GET OUT OF HERE!” I screamed as the beeping got faster. Jay punched at the clockface, shattering some glass, and he jumped out. Caught by his parachute, he floated gracefully down. I jumped next, but my parachute wasn’t working. Gosh, I should’ve listened to Cody when he said to check our parachutes! As far as I was concerned, I was going to die. Explosions, particles flying, a helicopter. That’s all I remember,”
The nurse looked at me. “Sweetie, are you delusional?” “No, ma’am.” I replied. “Miss Cole, I believe you need some water.” “Thank you, ma’am.”
Only Cody, myself, and Jay knew what happened that day. The next morning, I awoke in a new room. I groggily looked around.
“Where am I?” I wondered aloud. I could faintly hear a conversation going. “Dr. Porter, she‘s badly burnt. And delusional.“
“Thank you, Irene, but I don’t believe she is. Burnt, sure, but she’s got some mind. Leave us now, please.” “Would you like me to send for Josh?” “Yes.” Whoever Dr. Porter must’ve been came up to me. “Psst. Hannah, we‘re getting out of here.“
“Cody?!” I was astonished. ‘Josh’ came up, and I saw that he was really Jay. ”Hey, Hannah.” He said. I shot upward. “Let’s go.” “But how are we going to get past Irene, the nurse?” Jay asked. “I have a plan.” Cody replied. He punched the window, grabbed Jay and I, and jumped out. Cody is the only one still with a parachute. He wasn’t at the clock tower. Once on the ground (sweet, sweet ground), Cody stared into Jay and I’s souls. “Look, Professor Bradley didn’t choose us to deliver the scroll because we’re losers,” he told us, “but because she thought we could do it.”
“Where is this going?” Jay seemed confused. “So far, we’ve only watched the destruction of a Trenton Point landmark, and we‘re nowhere near Riverside”
“So what’s the point?” I asked.
“Oh, Hannah. Hannah, Hannah, Hannah.“
“What?”
“Look. We have a week to get to Riverside. And it takes two weeks to get there on foot.” Cody stated. “So we need to either get someone with a vehicle, or pray for a miracle.”
I studied my burn, and prayed right then.
“Dear God,” I began internally, “we need a miracle. These scrolls are important, and all we’ve done is fail. Please, God, don’t let me fail you too. Amen.”
I sighed and followed the boys.
what do you think? Here are the questions:
What do you think the significance of the prayer is? (There IS significance later on.)
Do you ship anybody yet?
Who is your favorite character?
You don’t mind the slight Christian element, do you?
Sorry That only the Main 3 and Prof. Bradley were introduced here. Next installment you’ll meet Audrey and Sarah, and maybe Jade...

its so fun to lowercase the i *sighs DREAMiLY*
No idea, but what @CapeCardamDolls said sounds about right.
Nope.
The name Jade is very pretty, but i don't know enough about anyone.
I don't mind it as long as it goes with the story. It just makes me cringe if it is used to much.
