I said I’d need 2 people to choose one of the choices, and the winning choice was continuing with her brothers!
Also, thanks @CraftySquirrel for your comment, “You NEED to be an author!”
“You’ll what?” Benny stopped with Rebecca, but Victor went ahead. Although she knew she’d regret it later, Rebecca just HAD to find out what was wrong with Sadie...“I’ll go with you guys,” she announced. Rebecca took Benny’s hand and they charged up towards Victor. “Becky’s coming with us!” Benny cheered. “Well, okay, but we’ve got to go. We need to see Sadie.” Victor replied. “What even happened to her?” Rebecca wondered aloud. A car sped towards the three at lightning speed during that conversation. “REBECCA! BENNY! LOOK OUT!” Victor yelled, and shoved his sister onto the sidewalk. Benny ran after Rebecca. Just before the car could hit him, Victor dove out of the road. Rebecca showed Victor her newly bleeding elbow. “Ooh, let me get something for that,” Rebecca’s once-teasing brother was now being kinder than ever. But why? Victor peeled off his shoe, and then his sock. He wrapped the worn black sock around Rebecca’s wound, and then put his shoe back on. ”Let’s get going.” Benny said, and trotted down the sidewalk. “We should go home,” Rebecca mused. “Or, we could just find out about Sadie. Rebecca, Sophie had a baby. Papa’s busy. And Mama has had a cold, twice. Now something has happened with Sadie. Don’t you want to know?” Victor urged. Suddenly, a wave seemed to wash over Rebecca, one that washed away all the doubt and fear. “Let’s Go.” She said, firmly. She and Victor soon caught up with Benny, who had stopped by a tree. “Rebecca was right.” He moaned. “We should go home.” “NO!” Victor cried. “We‘ve already run about a mile.“ he then gave Benny the ‘Magical’ speech he’d given Rebecca just two minutes ago. “You know what, Vic?” Benny asked. “You’re Right.” Rebecca led the way This time, running as fast as her legs could go. Victor was close behind, and about 5 feet back, Benny. Suddenly, they came up on an alley. “Let’s Go through it,“ Benny decided. About a third of the way through, a man’s voice interrupted their walking; “You shouldn’t be here.” Rebecca turned around to see...
OOH! I’M STOPPIN’ THERE! So, do you want it to be the owner of one of the buildings surrounding the alley, or a jokey friend? Tell me in the comments!
Please make another! I think it should be one of the building owners.
