Well. Look what dropped in. Bri. Bri parachuted in with her glittery yellow parachute. That’s right. Who wants to try the parachute? Anybody? Nope! My ‘chute.
Here is part two of NYSM!
Now You See Me
Part Two
The Little Things
Jenna’s POV
After a few days, I pondered over what Theo said. My parents would never know. I would be on another side. Although I was not at all sure what those meant, I had to try something.
JENNACASS14: Hey Theo? I have a q
THEO_RETICALLYACCURATE: Go ahead.
JENNACASS14: What is the other side? And why wouldn’t my parents know?
No answer.
For three hours, I stared at the screen. No response. My computer died twice. When life flickered back into the blank screen, I had one new message from Theo.
THEO_RETICALLYACCURATE: Just meet Leila wherever. I’ll give you her eMail. She’ll tell you.

…
After a late night chat session with Leila, we agreed to meet up at The Friendly Bean, a coffee shop around an hour from where I lived and almost an hour from Leila. I called CJ and Rory and forced them to drag their lazy selves over to my house.
I had seemed to be driving for ages. Especially with CJ in the backseat. Rory wasn’t too much of a burden. She just had a small bladder. Finally, we arrived. I navigated through the strong smelling cafè to the front desk. Ari Rivers, who I presumed was Ari because of her name tag, waved at me. “Hey,” she had an Aussie accent, “how can I help you?”
“I have a reservation for Leila Borgman?”
“Ah!” Ari flipped a bright red strand out of her face. “Table 17.”
“Thanks.” Rory butted in.
I looked through the table numbers. 14…15…16…16 was the last table. What was this scam Theo prepared? Was Ari in on it?
Apparently not, because I almost tripped over a thin, pale girl with carmel locks who was standing up from a near hidden table. “Hi.” She said, “You must be Jenna Ambrose?”
“Yeah, I’m Jenna.” I didn’t confirm my last name for fear I may not be able to trust this girl.
“M’name is…” she thought for a moment. How could one forget their own name? “Ah, yeah. My name is Leila Borgman.”
So it was Leila! “Theodosia…Theo?” I stuttered. “Why couldn’t she just meet me here herself?”
“Theo didn’t feel like leaving.”
What?
“Oh, alright.” I took a deep breath as I pretended to understand. “Oh, and this is CJ.” I motioned to the sweaty stick figure on my left. “Don’t mind that…”
“...I’m sick and not too presentable.” CJ finished.
“Oh, that’s fine-” but I could tell that Leila was putting on an act, especially with the appalled look that graced her expression.
“I’m Rory,” Rory offered, but Leila paid no attention.
“So.” Leila said firmly, and slammed her coffee mug down on the table, attracting some looks from neighboring tables. A waiter shushed her as he passed by. “You guys need to get to Theo, eh?”
“It was by choice.” Rory muttered.
“Uh, we don’t need to, I’m just afraid of what will happen if I don’t.” I admitted.
CJ stood up and ran for the bathroom. “She’s sick,” Rory reminded us.
“I’m fully aware,” sighed Leila. “Anyways, Theo had you meet up with me so I could help you.”
“Y-yeah…” I stuttered. Rory sat in confusion as Leila explained.
“Man,” Leila started, “I haven’t known Theo for long. In fact, I met her last week. She wants you to travel to the Misty Tower Bridge.”
“M-Misty Tower Bridge?” I asked.
Rory (new POV!)
Jenna watched intently as Leila explained the significance of this location. I scribbled on a napkin, trying to look inconspicuous.
A Random List
Leila is kinda sus
She only met Theo last week?
The MTB (acronyms FTW) is apparently some travel place or tourist attraction
I wasn’t listening
CJ popped out of nowhere, erm, the bathroom, and sat down. “I’mma throw this away.” CJ picked up her empty, clear plastic cup and ran to the trash can. I heard her toss it in and then say, “ooh, pink.”
“CJ, don’t drink that-” I sighed, but CJ was already sampling a pink liquid she’d found in the trash.
“Ick. Bitter.” CJ tossed it on the ground and skipped in our direction. I paid more attention to keeping CJ’s nearly nonexistent sanity contained for the next few minutes than I did to Leila and Jenna’s conversation.
But as I lectured CJ on the importance of not drinking some random crap already touched by a stranger that she found in the garbage can, I caught a few snippets of the conversation.
“...another universe…”
“...dangerous…”
“...portal…”
“...time skipping…”
And, “...you’re fully aware this could be a scam, and Theo may not even be real, right?”
The few snippets sent chills down my spine. Whatever this was, I was not allowing Jenna to be dragged into it.
