THIS IS SOMETHING I HAVEN’T DONE SINCE *checks forum* THE ONE WHERE THE 6 DOLLS MOVE OUT, I BELIEVE.
yes, a short story!
I’m taking an evermore break until maybe tomorrow, welcome to forgetting to prewrite.
...
I groaned and rolled over. I could hear a faint picking sound next to me. I couldn’t move in with Kira until they cleared Lanie’s things out, so for now I was in Jada’s old bed. With Daniela. Pick-pick-snap. I won’t say the next thing I Heard-- because it was dirty— but I looked at Daniela. “What’s happening, Dani?” Daniela set down a yellow-Metal-pick-thingy and stared at me. “Rainbow loom?” “What’s that?“ I threw my feet onto the floor. Daniela rolled her eyes. ”You have this thingy—the rainbow loom—and you put rubber bands on and stuff and it makes a bracelet.” “Ah. I get it.” I lied. Oh, gosh, I didn’t get it. “Lexi, want me to teach you?” “No, thanks.” I smiled, and dashed downstairs before trouble could brew. The Three Musketeers—Scarlett, Arianna, Joss—were drinking matching Frappuccinos and their wrists were covered in rubber-band bracelets, most likely made by Daniela. “Morno.” Joss set her steaming mug, with “THAT SURFER GIRL JOSS IS A CHEERLEADING BOSS” etched into it, down on the table. Ari’s mug read “Female equivalent of Alexander Hamilton”, and Scarlett’s just simply read “Slay”. They all had the same heart on the handle, with a teal stripe, light pink stripe, and gold stripe going through it. It was their symbol. I could tell the mugs were customs. “Morning, Joss.” I grabbed my favorite cup by far, a green-and-pink polka dotted one, and filled it with orange juice.
Scarlett was still in her silk light pink pajamas. Joss was wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt. Arianna was wearing a baggy Hamilton shirt and shorts. I was still in my pajamas as well. I could use a coffee, but mom always said I was too young. I’ve never had it. “Can I try some?” I motioned towards the coffee. “You’ll hate it,“ Joss warned, and handed me her mug. I took a sip of the pungent, bitter liquid. “YUCK!” I exclaimed, and shoved the cup into Joss’s suntanned hands. That aftertaste left me wanting a little more, though...
I snatched Joss’s cup right back from her and Sipped again. It was beginning to taste pretty good! Without further warning, I chugged down the rest of the brown deliciousness. Joss rolled her eyes.
“Let’s go for our run!” Arianna announced. She, Scarlett, and Joss Stripped off their pajamas to reveal sports bras and leggings. They made the mistake of leaving me alone with the coffee. Before I knew it, the house was rid of coffee. I ran, full speed, to Kira’s room. “G’DAY, MATE!” I shrieked, and jumped over her. She was sitting, so it’s not that awesome. “Holy shnikey, Lexi!” Kira exclaimed, and ducked. “What’s gotten into you?“
“Four words: No coffee at brekky.” Kira gasped. “Alexis Kate Curry. Tell me you didn’t—“
“The coffee,” I finished, “is amazing,”
Kira passed out. MORE COFFEE FOR MEEEEEEEEE!
