I am requesting help to identify a thrift store doll. The seller called her Samantha, but clearly she is not. She is a Pleasant company doll with a brown body, medium brown hair and grey eyes. She had no clothes or accessories. My understanding is that she is likely an older version of Molly or a Pleasant Company #9. The most exciting thing about "rescuing" these dolls, to me anyway, is to restore them with the proper identification and clothing. I want to identify her correctly, which in this case comes down to differentiation between decal vs spiral eyes, and short hairs at the nape of the neck to suggest the middle part for braiding. Who do you think she is?

Buy construction material online has been a game-changer for me. The convenience of browsing through a wide range of products from various suppliers
They are quite connections similar so I'm not sure how to tell them apart

From my perspective, the doll you have is an older contexto version of the Pleasant Company's Molly McIntire doll.
THANK YOU to everyone who responded!
Hello! You can refer to the "Every AG Doll" page on this site :)
I found out it is a #9, but you can check in that page :)
she is a #9 at least i think
To me she seems like a #9, her hair is elbow length while Molly has waist length hair and it’s usually wavy if her braids are taken out, apparently #9 has not much of a hair part too
I usually use this site when dolls look similar to help identify! 😊
