What the—*pulls a Livia*
GRAB YOUR TISSUES
Cassia
“Livia, what the Whitaker?” Josh glares at her.
Livia smirks, and a vine crawls around her neck.
Josh grabs the RAM and holds it with two hands. He brings his foot down on top of it and it snaps in two even pieces. Livia gasps. “Bruh.” She says. “Ya killed it.”
“Bruh. Don’t Bruh me, Bruh. Listen, Bruh…” Josh mocks.
“Okay! I get it!” Livia sighs, exasperated. “I’m being annoying.”
“Bruh.” Josh adds to the effect.
“Shut your face, Bruh.”
Josh screams in exasperation and conks Livia on the head with one part of the RAM.
“Br—I mean, OW.”
I stifle a laugh. If Livia is trying to be a villain, she’s honestly failing.
“Ha,” Josh’s voice is brushed with sass, “ha. Ha.”
Livia groans and sits down. “I-I-I need a second.” She says indignantly.
Wow.
Josh and I hike up the hill (Whitaker cottage is waaaay at the bottom of one) and attempt to hitchhike. Well, attempt to attempt if you know what I mean.
A blue car stopped, and a fine-featured girl with a shocked expression popped out. “Hop in. If you don’t mind.”
Josh shrugs and takes the back. The passenger seat is occupied. I slide in back with him, and the girl from the driver’s seat turns around. “We’re picking up a friend.”
“Alright.” I admit, I have no idea where Josh and I are going. Away from Livia, perhaps.
“Alia, tell them why you were shocked.”
“Fine.” The car stops, and the girl, Alia, turns around.
The other girl does, too. Oh my gosh.
Livia
I take a breath, and stand up. My necklace is on me. Phew. The Signification ID. When I’m no longer a Raven, it falls off and makes a bomb. Everyone knows to stay a Raven, the bomb could be deadly. The necklace is a threat. Seriously.
I start to walk.
Cassia
The girl is Cal. The driver is Alia. And I’m scared of life. I don’t trust these girls with my life. I don’t trust life with my life.
Gosh, I don’t trust myself with my life.
And not Cal O’Brien and Alia-whatever-her-last-name-is.
“Cassia Sierra?” Alia asks.
“ALIA HALLISEY. BE MORE—GENERAL.” Cal shouts. Hallisey. That’s her last name.
“As Cal may have mentioned, we want to kill you because…”
Josh sighs. “People these days,”
Alia continues. “...seriously, the Sierras were some pretty bad people.”
I sigh. “Go ahead.”
“I mean, Gifford Sierra was a guy who first conquered Rowe Raven. Rowe Raven was literally trying to help underprivileged people get ahead in life, but SiERRA thought that the ones able to gain needs off the top should be ahead. There was a school, The Gifford Rowe school. Gifford, in short, was selfish. People who could pay tuition could only be taught by him. As a result, They split it into Ravens and Sierras. Then, the sides split into separate schools. Gifford decided that Rowe’s mission was useless, but Rowe’d helped so many people. Gifford killed Rowe.”
“Wow.” I muttered.
Alia stopped the car, and opened our door. A girl was walking toward us, probably the “friend”. Instead of waiting, Josh pulled me out and we ran.
Livia
I swore once (just once) as I tripped on a rock. By the time I’d actually reached the road, I was held up by a wreck. Oh, for gosh’s sake. “Ut mihi, volo ut ubi sum.” I muttered, and I stopped inches away from a blue sedan.
I saw Cassia and the other person—Josh, I believe—running.
“Wait.” I yelled, and caught up to them.
Cassia glared at me. “You’re Just going to kill us.”
“No,” I was being honest, “I’m not.”
Cassia sighed.
“Follow me.” Josh, Cassia, and I walked to a stream. I pointed at a small canoe. “Get in.” All three of us sat in, the stream looked majestic. We paddled until the stream became a river, and the river became a lake, and the lake became an ocean.
“How…” Cassia breathes.
“It’s Evermore!” I say. “Anything can happen!”
Cassia and Josh sit still, and I touch the water for a brief moment. I stare at myself, and that’s when I know: I’m not a Raven.
Cassia
Josh and I are holding hands as we sit on the canoe. Livia is fingering her necklace when the boat starts shaking. “LIVIA.” Josh stands up, wobbling it more.
“What?” Livia looks nervous.
“What the Whitaker did you just do…” I announce.
Livia looks down at her chest, and sits. “I’m so sorry.” She whispers. “For what?” Josh asks. Livia keeps quiet. Josh puts a hand on my shoulder. I hesitate, but allow him to proceed. “When we die, we die together,” He whispers. “I’m sorry.” Livia whispers again, and her necklace charm falls off. I lean my head on Josh’s shoulder, and he puts his arm around me, just as the charm-bomb explodes and the world goes black.
*wails*
Yes, I did that to you.
Yes, I’m done with the whole series.
The only known characters not dead are
CAL, AND ALIA
It is currently unknown if Kristen (remember HER?), Cayla, and Janna are alive
Aiden and Arianna aren’t totally confirmed to be dead, the poison may not have been fatal
