O.M.Gosh. EVERMORE SEASON THREEEEEEEE!
Yeah, @CapeCardamDolls and I are alternating!
Screech.
Well, here’s S3 Pt. 1…
Defects
Cassia
I knew it was the end of the road for Elle. As soon as Mrs. W had told me about how she fell through time...which I didn’t even know much about, I rushed to the site of Elle’s falling. I didn’t want it to be the end for her. I really didn’t.
Arianna
I looked at Elle in disbelief. Cassia (I didn’t know her too well—yet) was trying not to cry, I could tell. I didn’t know what about Elle was so special to her, but for longtime SCA students, Elle was a big part of our lives.
“Is she…” I couldn’t say the word. I looked at the crimson stains lining her brows and cheeks.
“A-a-Ari?” Elle stuttered weakly. “C-C-Cass-Cassia?”
“Hang in there.” Cassia choked, clearly about to emotionally explode.
“I-I-I’m trying.” She managed, and collapsed onto the bed. Cassia pulled an Eliza Schuyler and shrieked over her dead body.
“...dead?” I finished, finally.
Mrs. Whitaker shook her head solemnly. “She had so little time...she couldn’t be helped, Ari.”
“So…”
“I’m so sorry.” Mrs. Renee Whitaker, for the first time I’d seen, burst into tears.
Livia
“Get out of my chair, Livia.” Cayla stressed the “Liv” in my name.
It’s not my fault my hindquarters always find that chair. “What do the messages say??” I changed the subject.
“Ugh.” Joslyn groaned. “The phone locked.”
“Hack it, idiot. Shadow Creek doesn’t teach us how to be cupcakes.” Cayla growled, and Joslyn brought it to Aiden.
“Aiden, hack the stupid phone. I know nothing.” Joslyn muttered, shoving the phone at Aiden.
“Says who?”
“Nobod—Uh, Livia, I guess.” I rolled my eyes.
Aiden held up his bandaged arm. “This,” he grumbled, “is my dominant arm.”
“THEN BRING IT TO HARPER!” Joslyn blew her top.
Exactly one minute and 14 seconds later, Harper was holding the phone. “The password, it has to be…” she typed 010105, Elle’s birthday. “No.” She grunted. 112114, her Sierra Cove locker combination, didn’t work either.
Harper then proceeded to gasp. “What?” I screeched.
“Liv, what did we talk about?” Joslyn scowled, as Cayla paced the perimeter of the room.
Ugh.
“Sierra Cove students’ phones somehow deactivate when the owner’s dead. Elle’s phone...deactivated.”
“So…” I started.
“Elle Medina is dead.” Aiden tried. “Elle. Medina. Is dead.”
“Oh gosh…” Cayla murmured. “Where are the others?”
“Others?” Cayla was confusing Joslyn.
“We’re talking Cassia Sierra. That Arianna person. All the Cove students.”
“What about them?” Aiden picked at his cast.
“Get them.” Cayla shoved me out of her chair, which I somehow ended up in again, and stood in it. “Get them all and bring them here.”
“And Josh?”
“Forget him. He forgot them.” Cayla decided. Harper then proceeded to throw Elle’s phone at the wall. As it cracked, Joslyn whined;
“That could’ve been evidence.”
Cassia
One minute we were mourning over a body—Elle’s, to be exact—and the next, Lacy (remember her??) was in the room. Miraculously, not crying. Not even evidence of holding it back. Her usually bright and sparkly eyes, however, looked slightly...defected. Her hair was less shiny. Her skin was less smooth. She was one-less, if you will.
“Guys, it’s urgent.” She used an arguing tone, even though none of us had said anything. “Guys,” She said again.
“Robot.” Ari teased. “What?”
“Guys,” (enough with the guys!) “Sierra...Sierra Cove is gone. Like, no evidence of burning or bombs or anything.”
“That’s weird…” Mrs. W. observed.
“Thanks, Catherine Obvious—“
“Captain,” Ari corrected.
“Yeah, whatever. Anyways…there were no survivors.”
“Not Everly? Everly’s dead?” I asked in horror.
“Mm-hm.” If Lacy was holding back tears, they were now falling freely. Even if she wasn’t, she was still crying.
“Everybody’s dead?” I asked.
“Yes.” Lacy sobbed.
“That’s terrible.” Ari mumbled.
“EVERYBODY IS DEAD.” Lacy shrieked in mental pain.
“Are you sure?”
BAM.THAT’S ALL!

Your questions:
*read normally now*
Who said “Are you sure?” Hint: it’s nobody new.
What did Cayla mean by “Get them”?
Where is Josh now?
How could the phone be evidence?
Evidence for what?
Byeeeeeee!
I have already read Train Yard back now I’m reading Evermore backwards. Help me.
