Hey, y’all! I wrote the next few Evermore parts in advance. I may edit based on your question answers. Of course, I’ll still only post one a day :)

Evermore, S3 Pt 3
A Mysterious Liaison
Cassia
Aiden and Joslyn were so...what’s the word?...synchronized. When they rolled their eyes, it was simultaneously. When they walked about the room, at the same time. Even when they questioned me, they seemed to agree on everything. Thinking I may have gone mental, I shook my head as I answered useless questions, one after another, like why strawberries are better than grapes, and which color I look worst in.
By the way, strawberries are two-tone, so PROPS, and I look pretty bad in yellow.
But that’s not the focus.
Finally, they asked me a good question: “Does Calista O’Brien act as a liaison between your school and ours?”
“First,” I began, “what’s a liaison?”
“Um, a person who’s a link between two groups of people.” Joslyn decided. “Is Ms. O’Brien a Sierra Cove/Shadow Creek liaison?”
“Second,” I added, “who’s Calista O’Brien?”
“You may know each other. You probably know her as…” Joslyn started, and a familiar voice finished.
“Cal.”
Arianna
“26 feet,” I whispered, “54 minutes,” as the cell plummeted down a new length.
Two minutes later:
“25 feet, 52 minutes.”
Two minutes later:
“24 feet, 50 minutes,” I muttered, shaking my head, because; We. Were. Going. To. Die.
“OK, are you ever going to stop that?” Lacy asked in annoyance.
“Stop what?”
“Counting the minutes until our death. Being such a pessimist.”
“Sorry.” I moaned, and flopped onto the cold, hard ground.
“Just stop, Arianna.”
“I did, sheesh.” I rolled my eyes, and looked at Lacy.
“No, like, RULE. Don’t fall asleep. We need to savor our last 50–”
We dropped a foot.
“48 minutes of life.” She finished. “And if you’re a pessimistic person,” She glared at me, “23 feet.”
“You could fit almost 5 of me in that.” I muttered. “Yeah, I’m tiny.” That’s true. The full five feet of me would be burnt to a crisp in less than an hour.
Lacy fiddled with her ponytail. I noticed as an undone braid slipped down and hung on her face.
“Huh?” I asked. Lacy held up a bobby pin.
“This sucker was holding up that braid.” She informed me, and began fiddling with the cell lock.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Getting us out of here.”
Cassia
Cal always had a way of getting into the most random places at the horribly perfect times. She was the last person I wanted to see right now. Just as she reached for me, the world went black. Had she knocked me unconscious? Blindfolded me? I couldn’t think straight.
I awoke in a daze in a room with blinding lights over me. “Cassia.” A familiar voice whispered.
“Play with me. I have Clementine,” A new, younger voice added. The fruity name sounded familiar as well.
“Clementine…” I pondered on the name aloud.
“No, I’m gonna be Clementine.” The young voice corrected. “You get to be Lucy, my other doll.”
I shot up. Doll. It was Amy, Amy Whitaker. “Amy?” The small girl was blurred due to my fast sit-up.
“Amy, give her some space, she just passed out.”
So Cal had nothing to do with it. The voice was soothing, and somehow I recognized it. A rewind of the two voices slurred together in my mind. I knew one of them was Amy…
Josh. The other one was Josh.
Livia
Joslyn walked into our shared dorm room, where I wasn’t in Cayla’s chair. She’s in the neighboring dorm with Harper. “Honestly, Jos.” I grumbled, slamming down my notebook. “You can knock.”
“It’s my room, too.” Joslyn observed. “And don’t call me Jos.”
“Sorry,” I said, and I added “Jos” under my breath.
As she grabbed my notepad and tossed it onto her bed, she stared at me. “I have to tell you something.”
“Well, me too. Let’s say it together.” I proposed.
“Sheesh, Liv, what are we? Babies?” Joslyn rolled her eyes.
But then, at the same time, we both said; “I killed Mrs. Whitaker.”
OOT.
Your questions:
How did they both kill Mrs. Whitaker?
Is Cal a liaison between Sierra Heights and Shadow Creek?
Are Lacy and Ari going to escape?
Where exactly is Cassia? How did she get there?
Wow, this part of Evermore is intense! The dynamics between the characters keep getting more intriguing. Cassia's encounter with Cal, the tension with Lacy and Arianna, and that jaw-dropping confession at the end—there's so much to unpack here.
For your questions:
How did they both kill Mrs. Whitaker?I’m guessing it might be a metaphorical "killing," like they both played a role in her downfall, rather than an actual murder. Maybe they exposed some deep secrets or were involved in a larger scheme?
Is Cal a liaison between Sierra Heights and Shadow Creek?Cal seems to be at the center of a lot of mysterious connections. Given her timely appearances, it’s likely she plays a role in bridging these two worlds. Her involvement might not be official, but she certainly has some form of influence.
Are Lacy and Ari going to escape?Lacy’s resourcefulness with the bobby pin gives hope. They seem to have the determination, but whether they’ll succeed depends on what other obstacles they face. Fingers crossed for their escape!
Where exactly is Cassia? How did she get there?Cassia’s sudden blackout and the mysterious voices suggest she might be in some sort of holding or interrogation room. The fact that familiar faces like Amy and Josh are involved hints at a deeper conspiracy.
