I was at the park with my friend, his 9 yr sister, and my 10 yr brother and walking in there was a mini stroller. With a doll in it. My brother realizes it's an AG doll and we walk over to get a better look. I pull back its eyelash and say "It's truly me 61." My friend stares at me. "How do you know that?" I shrug. "She has decal green eyes, classic face mold, red hair down to her waist, and light skin." He gawks at me. We find the family the doll belongs to and continue through the park, he shows me pictures of random truly me dolls on his phone and I tell him which number it is. Everyone is asking me how I know this stuff, but it's just my hobby. They thought it was kind of funny and then we sat down and listened to the Courtney 1986 song and laughed at how cringy it was the whole way through. Then I made him look up the Julie song. (Also, those songs are creepy and it's not just me, right?) On the walk home he continued to quiz me, asking me the number and I told him the face mold and the eyes and the hair and the skin tone, they thought it was really funny and it is kind of.
So I don't know, I wanted to share that, it's kind of random, but my story of the day. If you saw a random tm doll in the park would you be able to tell who it was?
Edit- also, my favorite one was when he asked me who tm 65 was. I said, "Ginny Weasley, obviously."
Hey Ivy! Yeah, I can identify almost any doll that isn’t TOO beaten up/ customized. Once I found a Julie on EBay being advertised as KAILEY. I was MAD. I was like if this is your doll you should at least know the difference between her and Kailey.
I loved the Ginny part. I actually got a 65 and named her Ginny.
HAHAHA I laughed so hard at “Ginny Weasley, obviously.” And yes, those videos are creepy.
